I painted for many years as a self-taught professional
before studying drawing and painting in Florence, Italy at the Angel Academy of Art and alongside independent European and
American contemporary artists. I am currently represented by the Water Street Gallery in Douglas, Michigan and Artegiro
Contemporary Fine Art in Montefiascone, Italy (see links page). My work has been featured in national and regional magazines,
a book, international shows and competitions, and many private collections in the US and Europe. I'm not sure how to define the quality that I respond to. I suppose part of my own artistic
exploration is to be able to answer this question with words and not only feelings. I have the same standard for my own work as I do for appreciating the work of others. There
must be this combination of recognition and poetic orchestration. The highest works, for me, remind me of my own mortality,
but not without faith in goodness. They have a disarming sincerity, across diverse subjects, across years.

the fact that you will find nothing so precious which association with painting does not render far more valuable and highly
prized." ˜ Leon Battista Alberti˜ On
